Meet TitleTown Publishing


Tracy C. Ertl, Publisher and Owner

Tracy C. Ertl is a former Green Bay Press-Gazette police reporter and currently dispatches police officers and firefighters throughout Titletown. Ertl was named 2004 Brown County Telecommunicator of the Year, another high point in her career that started 16 years ago with the Green Bay Police Department. Brown County Public Safety Communications has been her employer since Green Bay merged into a joint operation.

As a life-long crime chaser, Ertl began her writing career as a crime reporter and was managing editor of "Lifestyle" magazine in the Fox Valley. She is an award-winning author, most recently taking third place nationwide in the 2005 National Shooting Sports Foundation's writing contest.


Christine Ertl, Publisher and Owner

Christine Ertl is a sophomore psychology major at St. Thomas University. She is an author and co-owner of TitleTown Publishing.


Julie Rogers, Editor

Julie Rogers is a Wisconsin native working her way West. She currently lives in Omaha, Neb., but will be moving to Denver in the next few months. She spent twelve years as an editor at the Green Bay Press-Gazette, which is where she first met and became friends with TitleTown Publisher Tracy Ertl nearly twenty years ago. She spent another eight years as an accountant at hospitals in Green Bay and Omaha. She is now back in the field she loves, journalism – specifically editing – working with TitleTown Publishing as Editor.

Brittany Pogue-Mohammed, Editorial

Brittany Pogue-Mohammed graduated from Brooklyn College with a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Philosophy. She has worked in book publishing since 2007 for everything from international publishing houses to agents. She currently works for global textbook publisher, McGraw-Hill. Born and raised in The Bronx, N.Y., she currently lives in Queens, N.Y.

Erika Block, Interior Layout & Design, Social Media & Brand Management

Erika Block is an artist and writer raised in De Pere, Wisconsin. Beginning with a degree in Marketing Communications, Erika spent most of her career to-date working her way from the bottom up at a production studio in Green Bay before opening her own studio in 2008. EL Block Creative Studios specializes in promoting other creative professionals – mainly artists, writers and musicians – by producing award-winning creative material for print, web and television. She is also an author, with published works on topics such as art and design, freelancing and virtual business, and corporate versus creative culture.

Katie Stilp, Intern

Katie Stilp, a Green Bay native and avid reader/writer, is a senior communication major at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where she has emphases in journalism, public relations and electronic media. She will graduate in May 2010, after which she plans to seek employment in the publishing world and pursue publishing her own novels.

Jessica Engman, Intern

Jessica Engman is a 2009 graduate from UW-Green Bay with a bachelor's degree in English, with an emphasis in English Literature and a minor in Communications. Jessica's hometown is Wausau, Wis., but currently is living in Green Bay where she is working and interning with TitleTown Publishing. She enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and meeting new people.

Through her internship with TitleTown Publishing, she hopes to learn more about the publishing process and improve her skills in writing and editing. She wants to pursue a career in editing, writing, and ghostwriting.
